Travel despite the A H1N1 flu
If you are worried because of the flu crisis, you will be relieved to learn that the World Health Organization (WHO) now says that the pandemic caracterizes up until now to benign symptoms on the majority of patients, curing themselves within a week even without any medical assistance.
The WHO does not recommend to restreign trips because of the epidemic boost of the A H1N1 Flu. Nowadays, international trips are fast and a large amount of people go to different parts of the World and imposing restrictions would not help reducing the spread of the virus.
The virus’s principal way of transmission seems to be the same as seasonal flu, via respiratory droplets produced when we talk, sneeze or cough.
We can protect ourselves from infection by avoiding close contact with people presenting flu typed symptoms and by following these procedures:
-Avoid touching our nose and mouth
-Wash hands meticulously and regularly
-Avoid direct contact with people that might be infected
-Reduce, when possible, time spent in crowded areas
-Air out living spaces by opening windows
-Maintain a healthy lifestyle by sleeping enough, eating well and exercising.
