Day 2: MADRID
Your driver and your guide will welcome you at the airport in Madrid.

Afternoon: Panoramic guided tour of the Capital including Plaza Mayor. The Plaza Mayor dates back to the 17th century. Center of the social life, there were held bull races, inquisition trials and public executions. At its center stands an equestrian monument of Felipe III.

Day 3: Madrid – ESCORIAL
Breakfast
Morning: Self-guided tour of the Museo del Prado, one of the world’s finest art museum, displaying many paintings of Velasquez and Goya, whom the statue faces the main entrance.
Self-guided tour of the Palacio Real. Designed to impress the crowds, Madrid’s Palacio Real stands at a height overlooking the rio Manzanares, at the exact same place where, for centuries, stood the Alcazar fortress, destroyed by a fire in 1734. To replace it, Felipe V ordered this grand palace. Its construction took 26 years.

Day 4: MADRID – CORDOBA

Morning: Road for Andalusia.

Afternoon: Self-guided tour of Cordoba: the Jewish quarter with its flowery streets, the Mezquita of Cordoba and the Calahorra Tower. The old town has most of the main monuments. With its narrow streets, its iron balconies and its goldsmith workshops, it seems like it has not changed much since the 10th century.

Day 5: CORDOBA – SEVILLE
Breakfast
Morning: Road to Seville. With nearly 700 000 inhabitants, the Andalusian capital is located at the center of the fertile plain of Guadalquivir. City of lights, Seville knows how to be hospitable and splendid for the visitors.
Stroll in Parque de Maria Luisa to visit the Plaza de España (official pavilion of the Spanish-American Exhibition of 1929).

Afternoon: Self-guided tour of Seville: Visit the cathedral (Built on the site of the former Great Mosque as evidenced by the Patio de los Naranjos and the Giralda which was the minaret) and the Alcázar.
Possibility of visiting a bull farm.

Day 6: SEVILLE – JEREZ DE LA
FRONTERA – CADIZ
Breakfast
Morning: Self-guided tour of Jerez de la Frontera, Andalusian wine and horse capital as well as the cradle of Flamenco.
Visit of the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art. This equestrian art school offers to show you a horse training session on days when there are no performances.
Tour of a bodega (wine cellar).

Road for Cadiz.
Afternoon: Self-guided tour of Cadiz, also called Little Havana. It is a peninsula surrounded by ramparts. Discover its harbor and the Cadiz bay, its upper-class houses mounted by watchtowers, etc.
Visit of the Torre Tavira. This tower dating back to the 18th century offers a magnificent view over the city.
Visit of Cadiz Cathedral. Baptised Catedral Nueva (new cathedral) because it was built to replace an older sanctuary, this church of baroque and neoclassical style with its dome covered in yellow-glazed tiles, is one of the largest in Spain.

Day 7: GIBRALTAR – GRANADA
Breakfast
Morning: Self-guided visit of Gibraltar, rocky peninsula and English colony. You will discover the defense and survival systems linked to its history, its famous monkeys, its caves and tunnels, the Great Europa Point and Africa, right in front, Main street (tax free), etc. (See supplement on page 2 of your quotation)

Afternoon: Departure towards the Costa del Sol in order to reach Granada.

Day 8: GRANADA
Breakfast
Morning: Self-guided tour of the Alhambra and the Generalife gardens. This complex of palaces, fortresses and gardens where fountains spray water everywhere stands midway between dream and reality. The palaces, essentially built starting from the 14th century, and the Alhambra gardens form a true city within its fortifications. From the Alhambra, a trail leads to the Generalife, which served as summer residence for the Nasrid sultans. Its name means: supreme paradise garden.

Afternoon: Self-guided tour of the Alcaicería quarter (former souk), which is the area where the cathedral is found, of both Gothic and Renaissance architecture. Afterwards, enjoy a stroll in the Albayzin, the Jewish Quarter. Discover as well the many Muslim sites of the city.

Day 9: GRANADA – TOLEDO
Breakfast
Morning: Road towards Toledo going through Castilla-La Mancha, land of Don Quixote’s adventures.

Afternoon: Self-guided tour of Toledo. Toledo rises at the summit of a granite hill surrounded by the Tage. This city was renowned for its silk, its weapons and its numerous artists, notably le Greco, who stayed there from 1577 to 1614. World Heritage sites: the cathedral, the Synagogue of Santa Maria and the Santo Tome church (Greco painting).

Day 10: MADRID
Breakfast
Transfer to Madrid's airport by motorcoach.
Return flight from Madrid
