DAY 1
Flight to Athens.DAY 2: ATHENS
On arrival at Athens Airport you will be met by your bus driver OR tour leader who will escort you to your private motor coach and your accommodation in Athens.Dinner and overnight in Athens.
DAY 3: ATHENS
A.M.: Today begins with a self-guided tour of Athens (the Parthenon, the Acropolis and the Agora).P.M.: This afternoon, you will have free time in the old village of Plaka. Dinner and overnight in Athens.
DAY 4: CORINTH CANAL/EPIDAVROS/NAFPLION
A.M.: This morning you will enjoy a guided tour of Athens. After the tour, you will leave on the way to the Argos, cradle of the Atride’s and place of pilgrimage for all classic culture fervents. You will stop at the Corinth Canal that connects the Aegean Sea and Ionian Sea. There you will visit the ancient Corinth.Then, continuation towards Epidavros. Departure towards NAFPLION, a charming little town that has been the first capital of Greece.
Dinner and overnight in TOLO.
DAY 5: MYCENAE/TOLO
A.M.: Self discovery of Nafplion and departure towards MYCENAE. You will go across an area full of fruiterer and orange trees.Dinner and overnight in TOLO.
DAY 6: SPARTA/OLYMPIA
Departure towards Sparta. Once the religious center of Byzantium and the locus of Constantinople’s rules over the Peloponnese, Mystras and its extraordinary hillside ruins reveal a city of Byzatine churches, chapels and monasteries.Departure towards Olympia with a stop at Kalamata.
Dinner and overnight in Olympia.
DAY 7: OLYMPIA/DELPHI
A.M.: Visit the dominating archaeological site dedicated to Zeus and the ancient Olympic arena. After your visit, you will discover the New museum housing an array of sculptures that includes the Hermes of Praxiteles.Departure on the way to Patras crossing the Corinth Gulf via the Bac de Rio.
Dinner and overnight in DELPHI.
DAY 8: DELPHI/KALAMBAKA
A.M.: Today begins with a visit of Delphi, the upper place of Greece spirits, is located on the side of the Parnasse Mount which is dedicated to Apollon.P.M.: Departure towards Thessalia. Discovery of 24 giant rocks rising up perpendicularly from the ground in the western part of the plain of Thessalia, in central Greece.
Dinner and overnight in KALAMBAKA.
DAY 9: KALAMBAKA/ATHENS
A.M.: Southwest of Olympia lies the majestic, iron-gray pinnacles of the Meteora rock formations, bedecked by 24 exquisite, gravity-defying Byzantine monasteries. You will be able to visit two monasteries.Dinner and overnight in ATHENS.
